VACANCY
The Best Dressed Chicken Division of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited invites applications for skilled, reliable, and results-oriented Maintenance Technicians to join our team. This critical role ensures the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of all equipment and systems within our Hatcheries.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be tasked with the full scope of equipment maintenance and system upkeep:
- Execute thorough routine maintenance on all hatchery systems, including incubators, hatchers, ventilation, and water systems.
- Promptly and efficiently diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing faults.
- Conduct timely repairs and component replacements to ensure minimal operational disruption.
- Assist with the professional installation and commissioning of new facility equipment as required.
- Uphold strict compliance with all company safety regulations and quality assurance policies, maintaining a clean and highly organized workspace.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance logs and records of all service, repairs, and installations performed.
- Work effectively with hatchery staff and respond rapidly to all routine and emergency maintenance requests.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of a Level 3 Certification in Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Proven, hands-on maintenance experience, preferably within an agricultural, manufacturing, or similar industrial setting.
- Strong, verifiable expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- The ability to read and accurately interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- High proficiency in the use of both hand and power tools essential for industrial maintenance.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic problem-solving skills.
- Thorough attention to detail and a dedication to quality workmanship.
- Flexibility to work shifts and a willingness to be on-call to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (including heat, humidity, and noise) and the ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods to perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
