The ideal candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing Management, Agricultural Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution;
• A MBA as well as work experience with an international brand (s) would be an asset;
• Well-developed leadership, communication and organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize;
• An understanding of industry best practice and emerging trends.Knowledge of accounting principles and practices;
• Expert knowledge of market research techniques, as well as researching business opportunities and viable income streams;
• Expert communication, negotiation, planning, organizing, presentation and analytical skills;
• Excellent customer service and human relations skills;
• Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy;
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite;
• A valid Jamaican Driver’s Licence; a reliable motor vehicle and willing to do extensive travelling (both locally and overseas); and
• Ten (10) years’ experience in a similar capacity in the retail/agricultural sectors.
