The Best Dressed Chicken division of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited is currently seeking a disciplined and reliable Truck Driver to join its Feed Mill operations in Free Town, St. Catherine. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and punctual delivery of goods, acting as a vital link between the Feed Mill and various distribution points. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate company-assigned trucks to transport materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations safely and punctually.
• Oversee the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring all goods are secured correctly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
• Conduct comprehensive daily inspections to ensure roadworthiness. This includes reporting any mechanical defects, issues, or accidents to the relevant supervisor immediately.
• Strictly adhere to all road traffic laws, company safety policies, and specific Feed Mill operational standards.
• Maintain meticulous records, including delivery notes, logbooks, fuel receipts, and other essential administrative paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse and dispatch teams to facilitate seamless turnarounds and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Must possess a valid driver’s licence (appropriate for the class of vehicle assigned) with a clean driving record. 
• A minimum of one (1) year previous experience in bulk transport, preferably within an agricultural or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to conduct routine vehicle checks and a thorough understanding of cargo securing techniques.
• Ability to manage the physical demands of loading and unloading cargo as required.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and a disciplined approach to road safety regulations.
• A strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and the professional representation of the company on public roads.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for accurate reporting and effective teamwork.
