VACANCY
Jamaica Broilers Group Limited is seeking a meticulous and highly organised professional to join the team at their Cogeneration Plant, located in Spring Village, St. Catherine. This vital supporting role bridges the gap between operational inventory management and administrative excellence. The successful candidate will serve as the secondary point of contact for plant materials management and spare parts control, while simultaneously providing essential administrative support to the wider operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
The Stores / Administrative Clerk will provide vital support to the Senior Stores Clerk and the Administrative Assistant/Sport Coordinator. As such, the key responsiblities will be as follows:
Stores & Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, chemicals, and equipment into the Cogeneration Plant system.
- Maintain accurate records via the ERP system, performing regular stock and cycle counts to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points; raise purchase requisitions to prevent operational downtime.
- Issue spare parts against authorised work orders, ensuring precise documentation.
- Organise the physical stores area in line with health and safety standards; maintain hazardous materials registers.
- Assist in preparing monthly consumption summaries, variance analyses, and assist with internal/external audits, when required.
Administrative Support
- Support the wider team with meeting schedules, correspondence management, and filing.
- Assist in managing the Cogeneration Plant’s document control system, ensuring procedures and permits are version-controlled.
- Process invoices by matching them against purchase orders and delivery notes in accordance with the financial authority workflows.
- Assist with contractor access, site permit-to-work administration, staff training logs, PPE registers, and travel logistics, as well as capturing attendance and overtime returns.
Qualifications:
- Passes in at least 4 CSEC (CXC) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a stores or warehouse environment, with proven background in administrative support roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with an ERP or inventory management software.
- Good understanding of stores principles (FIFO, stock rotation).
- Experience working in a power generation or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
