VACANCY

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that poultry houses are fully functional and efficiently operating to produce the required results and ensure adequate maintenance support of the Company’s equipment fleet for Field Operations. 

Essentially, the candidate should possess the following essential qualifications and skills.

• A First Degree in Agricultural Engineering or a related Engineering discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
• Sound knowledge of project management principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of poultry management practices.
• Sound knowledge of broiler grow-out operations including ventilation equipment for poultry houses.
• Working knowledge of the relevant computer software including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Sound planning, organizing and time management skills.
• Sound knowledge of animal welfare practices.
• Sound oral and written communication and human relations skills.
• Five (5) years’ experience in agri-business including three (3) years at the supervisory level.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable motor vehicle and valid Driver’s Licence.
