MERCHANDISER (St. James)

The Best Dressed Chicken division of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited, is seeking confident, well-spoken and creative professionals to join our Sales and Marketing team as Merchandisers. The selected individuals will be responsible for enhancing brand presence and stimulating sales growth within retail outlets in the parish of St. James.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain high-quality, appealing product displays, primarily in high-volume retail stores.
• Visit assigned locations on a scheduled daily route to replenish and merchandise stock.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked, correctly labelled, priced, clean, and organised according to planograms and merchandising guidelines.
• Set up in-store displays in alignment with brand marketing strategies.
• Track stock levels and coordinate with store staff and sales teams to manage restocking, preventing both stockouts and product expirations.
• Complete regular checks to verify and report on product pricing, shelf positioning, and competitor activity.
   

Qualifications and Experience

• A High School Diploma with passes in at least four (4) CXC/CSEC subjects at the General Level (including English Language), or an equivalent qualification.
• At least one (1) year of hands-on experience in a merchandising, retail, or FMCG (Fast-Moving-Consumer-Goods) distribution environment.
• HEART/NSTA CVQ in Retail Operations or equivalent would be an asset but not required.
• Experience in marketing meat, poultry, or further processed products would be advantageous.
• A valid Food Handler’s Permit is essential.

• Willingness to travel to different assigned store locations daily.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and public holidays as required.
• Comfortable working on a contractual basis.
