The Best Dressed Chicken Division is seeking a Feedlot Maintenance & Property Attendant to join their Feedlot team located in McCook's Pen. The core purpose of this position is the overall upkeep, cleanliness, safety, and functional repair of the distribution lot and surrounding property. 

Key Responsibilities

• The ideal candidate will perform minor to moderate structural repairs, utilising basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills, and will assist qualified technicians with more complex work.
• The attendant will also manage the grounds, conducting trimming, weed control, and general landscaping to maintain professional standards and minimise fire risks. Assisting with the proper disposal of solid wastes and rejected feed is also essential.

Qualification

• A High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in general maintenance, property upkeep, or farm/industrial labour.
• A basic knowledge of general building and facility maintenance, a strong understanding of workplace safety standards (including dust explosion risk), and familiarity with preventative maintenance for heavy agricultural or industrial equipment. 
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools and the ability to operate heavy machinery such as tractors, forklifts, if required.
• A high level of physical stamina and endurance, with frequent standing, walking, climbing, and the ability to handle and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Willing to work on a fixed-term contractual basis, that is subject to renewal based on perfomance in the role.
