VACANCY

The Best Dressed Chicken division of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited is seeking a results-oriented and experienced individual to fill the position of Stores Clerk at their Feed Mill, located in Free Town, St. Catherine. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the issuance, receipt, and maintenance of stores inventory, ensuring resilience against stock-outs and contributing to the uninterrupted flow of our feed mill operations.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• A minimum of two (2) years' related experience in a stores/warehouse environment.
• Passes in at least five (5) CSEC subjects or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Experience with inventory control systems and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good human relations and communication skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of accounting practices and principles.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ISO 14001 is desirable.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• A Certificate in Inventory Management, would be an asset.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work on a contractual basis, with renewal dependent upon demonstrated performance and success in the role.
• Ability to work in challenging environmental conditions (such as heat, humidity, dust and noise).
